after more than 7 months, I'm still working my way through posting my back-collection of ultrasudoku and sudoku3 puzzles. but I do still like to create these from time to time - here's a good 'n tough one I made just the other day.

I am still so in love with this cute little word 'n' sudoko variant. I'm sure it's possible to make these at the solvability level where they could happily appear in your average daily American newspaper (next to - or instead of - the stupid Jumble.)
I think, difficulty-vs-fun-wise, I'm about there with this puzzle.

I'm not really happy with the way this one turned out (since as I was checking the clues I found out 8 across is actually an alternate spelling. bother.)

I finally got this form worked out. the secret is not to worry about symmetry, and just go for it.
this is a good one! (if I do say so myself). I'll definitely be making some more of these, as above, with no 'given' letters.
